“Wherever you are on your Jewish journey, Limmud will take you one step further.”
Limmud is the Hebrew word for ‘learning’. At Limmud you will join hundreds of energized participants for a celebration of Jewish life and choose from over 40 different sessions during the course of the day. Enjoy art and musical performances. Foster connections to other members of our diverse Jewish community.
Limmud is a transformational experience. It began in England in 1980 and has subsequently captured the imagination of over 30,000 people in 26 countries around the world. The program is organized and led by volunteers and everyone is encouraged to ‘volunticipate” (volunteer and participate). We receive a broad range of proposals for classes, lectures, panel discussions, experiential programs and cultural activities. At Limmud, every teacher is a student and every student can be a teacher.
Limmud is cross-communal, multi-denominational, diverse, and innovative. It engages beginners to scholars and the young to the young at heart. There is even a Little Limmud for children! Participants reflect the full spectrum of Jewish practice, belief and doubt.
To learn more about or volunteer for Limmud Baltimore, join us at a free informational pizza dinner on Sunday, December 15th. Bring the family. The dinner will take place at 5 p.m. in the community room of the Park Heights JCC at 5700 Park Heights Avenue. Jewish educator and storyteller Jennifer Rudick Zunikoff will lead an engaging “Taste of Limmud” activity and we will discuss our goals and mission. RSVP required. To RSVP or for more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
